TIM PARSONSClinical Director
Tim qualified from Liverpool University in 1978, winning the Alumni prize in his final year for the best original research paper. He then worked as House Officer/SHO in Maxillo-facial surgery at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. Tim found himself a new home at St John's Hill Dental practice, loving it so much that he is now the owner and Clinical Director of the practice! Tim has also worked work part-time as Associate Specialist in Restorative Dentistry at a local hospital for a number of years.
Tim enjoys all aspects of clinical dentistry, as well as meeting new patients and families. He has a keen interest in cosmetic dentistry, particularly minimal intervention bonding, cosmetic contouring and all types of dental artistry. Tim enjoys the challenge of putting patients of all ages at ease.
Outside of work, Tim is the Chairman of Shropshire Dental Committee and has been for 30 years (voted in every 4 years by Shropshire Dentists). Tim was also a founder and board member of The Shropshire Education and Conference Centre, an educational charity that promotes and supports on-going Post-Graduate Medical and Dental Education. He is now Chairman of the Board of Trustees for this charity. Tim is also a Fellow of Woodard Corporation, another education charity. In a similar pedagogical theme, Tim is also a School Governor, serving on Finance, Marketing, Fundraising, Development and Nominations committees. Tim has two children, and can often be found chauffeuring them around! In his (rare) spare time, Tim is interested in skiing, classic cars, theatre, antiquities, Mod Brit art and spending time with his family, especially in Cornwall.

JESSICA WAKEDentist
Jessica graduated from Birmingham in 1989 with her degree in Dentistry and since then has worked extensively in general practice. Jessica has been at St Johns Hill for a number of years now and she works very closely with her dental nurse, and they make a great caring team.
She especially enjoys general family dentistry and cosmetic dentistry. Her special interests also include anterior alignment of the front teeth, teeth whitening and edge bonding to improve her patients smiles!
She has gained her ClearSmile Brace Accreditation and at a recent world Symposium of the IAS academy she was awarded Highly commended certificates for Best ClearSmile Brace case, Best Clearsmile Aligner case and Best Align Bleach and Bond case which she has worked hard to achieve.
She has now started her advanced course in orthodontics which will allow her to treat more complex cases.
Outside work Jess is a big fitness fan, cycling, running and hiking. A determined individual, she set herself several charity challenges to complete in 2018. These included cycling Coast to Coast to raise money for the Alzheimers Society with Denplan and also Ride London – Surrey 100 miles for the Anthony Nolan Trust, helping people with blood cancer, and has raised her target of £1000.
Jess currently lives in Shrewsbury with her youngest daughter and enjoys seeing her two older children when they manage to come home from living in Dublin and Toronto respectively.
Jessica enjoys cooking, cinema and DIY- when she has the time!

SOPHIE MORRISDentist
Sophie qualified in Dentistry at the University of Newcastle in 2017.
In addition to being a highly skilled dentist, Sophie has a natural, friendly and caring disposition. She shares our vision of patient focused, gentle, modern, preventive dentistry of the highest caliber.
As well as Sophie’s passion and experience for providing modern preventive family dentistry, she also very much enjoys minimally invasive, cosmetic and orthodontic dentistry creating beautiful smiles through both cosmetic whitening and teeth straightening as a qualified Invisalign practitioner.
As part of her commitment to ongoing professional development Sophie has recently enrolled on a postgraduate diploma in restorative and aesthetic dentistry.
Sophie has recently moved to Shropshire with her partner to be closer to family and is enjoying all the delightful architecture and countryside our glorious county has to offer. Sophie is sporty, a lover of good food and travel, and an avid reader in her spare time.

CLAIRE PILKINGTONHygienist
Claire has been at St John’s Hill Dental Practice since November 2015 after relocating from Bolton.
Claire qualified from Liverpool Dental Hospital as a Dental Hygienist in 1991. Before joining us at St John's Hill Dental Practice, Claire worked at various dental practices across Lancashire and the Greater Manchester region. Her previous job was at an independent practice in Bolton, where she worked for over twenty years. In addition to her Dental Hygiene diploma, Claire also has a BSc (Hons.) in Biology/ Psychology. She enjoys working on expanding her skillset and focusing on her professional development.
Claire loves the friendly and professional atmosphere of he practice, and we receive a lot of positive feedback about her gentle yet thorough approach.
Most of Claire’s spare time is taken up with her two horses, but given the opportunity she also loves travelling and cooking.

KATIE STORRIEPractice Manager
Katie has been at St John’s Hill Dental Practice since 2016. Katie has worked around the practice on reception, dental nursing and is now our Practice Manager. Katie's background is more theatrical though, with a degree in Performing Arts and having been part of many shows at Theatre Severn.
Outside of work, Katie is kept busy with her husband, two young boys and cocker spaniel called Neville.

Clinical Manager
Alex has been working at St Johns Dental Practice for 15 years and is now our Clinical Manager. Alex says she thoroughly enjoys this role and enjoys keeping our decontamination system running to the highest standards at all times. She derives job satisfaction from knowing she helps keep all our patients 100% safe. Alex has 2 children a boy and a girl and they love getting outdoors, visiting new places and having lots of family fun at the weekend.
